
Andrée Poirier
Director
Ms. Poirier holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Université du Québec en Outaouais. Now retired, she spent over 25 years as a mental health social worker in the health and social services network. Throughout her career, she made significant contributions to the development and training of social work practices, championing the promotion of equal social relations and the defence of human rights. For several years, she represented the Alliance du personnel professionnel et technique de la santé et des services sociaux (APTS) at the regional level. Her involvement extended to a variety of key initiatives, including the human resources development program, the Comité d’action féministe, the Comité de réflexion sur les projets Lean and the Comité paritaire en santé et sécurité du travail. Ms. Poirier also held the positions of secretary and president of the union's national executive committee.
She has always been passionate about social causes, particularly the rights of women and children. She continues to leverage her personal and professional expertise by staying active in her community, serving on several boards of directors for local organizations in her region.
In 2020, Ms. Poirier was appointed to the Board of Directors of SSQ Mutual. Since January 2024, she has continued her involvement as a Director on the Board of Beneva Mutual.
