Carl Gauthier

Director

Mr. Gauthier is an economist and tax specialist by training. His perseverance and dedication allowed him to rise through the ranks at the Ministère des Finances, where he served as Assistant Deputy Minister for Economic and Fiscal Policy from 2010 to 2012. For the following 2 years, he worked at the Ministère du Conseil exécutif as Associate Secretary General, overseeing the Secrétariat aux priorités et aux projets stratégiques. Mr. Gauthier’s career in the provincial government, coupled with his extensive experience, led him to take on leadership roles at the CNESST, where he served as Vice President of Finance from 2014 to 2016, and Vice President of Finance and Administration from 2016 to 2018. From 2018 to 2021, Mr. Gauthier continued his career at Revenu Québec, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer and was a member of its Board of Directors.

A member of the boards of directors of La Capitale Civil Service Mutual and La Capitale Civil Service Insurer since 2017, Mr. Gauthier continues to serve as a Director of Beneva Mutual and is a member of its Selection Committee. He also sits on Beneva’s Board of Directors, chairs the Risk, Ethics and IT Management Committee and is a member of the Investment Committee.
